Orbeon

Orbeon is a tactical game on PC. Two players, faces each other, in an isometric 2D view arena, turn by turn. It's like a football match where players have to score the goal to win the game. To reach it, they will manage a team of four semi-gods and use their powers to take advantage on the battlefield. The game is the perfect mix between Dofus and Bloodbowl II. The football played by gods.
In this project I was the game designer. I defined the whole universe and designed all the mechanics by writting documents for developpers and external persons of the project (pitch...), helping to solve problems encountered during the development. Force of proposal in all domains and adaptable in all situations.
In this game, my goal has been to offer an original experience to players by mixing magic and sport. Games do generally one of them but rarely both. I reunited the two concepts in a context of strategy with reflexions and ingenious move instead of hazard situations that players can't control.
The idea was to make discover through this game the mythological universes by associating attributes from those pantheons into each specific teams. For example, the mesoamerican team is based on the four elements or the scandinavian team, more aggressive, uses legendaries weapons to take advantage on the battlefield (for instance : Gungnir, the Odin's spear).
Mixing fun, strategy and cultural discovery has been my leitmotiv during the production of the project. Transmitting those passions through the game.

Dans ce jeu mon objectif a été de proposer une expérience inédite aux joueurs en mélangeant la magie avec le sport. Ce que certains jeux font séparément, nous l'avons réuni dans un contexte de stratégie faisant place à plus de réflexions et d'actions ingénieuses plutôt qu'à des situations hasardeuses pouvant échapper à tout contrôle. L'idée étant de faire découvrir (ou re-découvrir) à travers ce jeu les univers mythologiques en associant les attributs de ces panthéons aux spécificités des équipes ; comme l'équipe Mésoaméricaine qui joue sur les éléments de la nature, ou les scandinaves plus agressifs, qui utilisent des armes légendaires pour prendre l'avantage (tel Gungnir la lance d'Odin). Mêler plaisir de jouer, stratégie et découverte culturelle, a été mon leitmotiv dans la réalisation de ce projet. Transmettre ces passions à travers ce jeu.
